Doctor Overview

Dr. Chao Huang currently serves as the Director of the Lung Program at theUniversity of Kansas Medical Centerand Associate Professor of Medicine at KU Medical Center. As the director of the program, Dr. Huang leads a team of multidisciplinary experts to provide patients with the latest medical advancements. The program also has a mission to better educate the public on prevention andearly detection of lung diseases like mesothelioma.

Dr. Huang’s research revolves around cancers of the lung, head, and neck, with a particular interest inclinical trialsand translational research. Dr. Huang has authored or coauthored scientific articles in several journals, including theJournal of Thoracic Oncology,Journal of Clinical Oncology,Frontiers in Oncology,Lung CancerandOncology Reports.
